The Compass is a pocket-sized, hand-cast compass with Psalm 32:8 hand-engraved on the face. It arrives in a hand-carved wooden box with a cross on the lid, alongside a pocket chain for daily carry.
It is built to be held, carried, and passed on. Solid brass, built to last decades.
The Compass is crafted from solid brass, not plated, not painted. The box is hand-carved wood. The chain is included for pocket carry.
Brass is chosen for its durability and the way it ages. Over months and years of handling, it develops a living patina that reflects its use.
Psalm 32:8 is engraved on the compass face: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."
The verse was chosen for its quiet assurance. It is not a command. It is a companion.
The name comes from the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). Two disciples walking in grief and uncertainty after the crucifixion, and Christ walked beside them the entire way.
The Compass is that kind of object: a quiet reminder that guidance is already present, even when the path feels unclear.
Very little care is needed. Handling it is enough to keep the surface alive. If you prefer a brighter finish, a soft cloth with a mild polish will restore the original tone.
The patina that develops over time is natural to uncoated brass. Each mark is a mile walked.
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. Once your order leaves our warehouse you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. We do not process or ship on weekends or public holidays.

We offer free standard shipping on all US orders. US standard delivery is 3 to 5 business days from dispatch.
We ship from the United States. International shipping is expanding: if your country is available at checkout you will see the option and the rate before you pay. Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Every order receives a tracking number by email as soon as it ships, so you can follow your package all the way to your door.
If your order has not shipped yet, email info@emmausco.com with your order number and the corrected address and we will update it. Once an order has shipped, we cannot change the destination.

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of receipt at our warehouse.
If your order arrives damaged, email info@emmausco.com within 7 days of delivery and include a photo of the damaged item and the outer packaging.
We will arrange a replacement or refund, whichever you prefer.
